To the members & friends of the Tantallon South Civic Association:
Now that the shock has worn off from being nominated to the Presidential post for the Tantallon South Civic Association during elections held on December 10, 2009—I want to Thank You for the nomination. I will rise to the challenge of leading this Association to new heights.
To the former board members, Olatunde Babayale (President), Jody Garner (Vice President), Renee Davis (Secretary) and Carol Williams (Treasurer), Thanks for your dedication and hard work! The path you’ve laid will make it easier for the new administration to continue building on the shared principals that bind our community—better, safer and thriving neighborhoods.
I encourage everyone to become active members of this organization. I truly believe that there is strength in numbers. And the more members that we have the more we can accomplish. Get involved with the committees we are forming; Neighborhood Watch, Neighborhood Improvement & Community Relations. With the help of everyone, we can make this Association stronger and combat some of the neighborhood challenges we face such as crime, dim street lights or speeders.
This is your civic association. We want to hear from you. What are the issues that you want addressed? It is the goal of this administration to make every voice heard. Through increased communication methods and new exchanges of ideas I’m confident that 2010 will be a monumental year for this Association.
