Water bills to rise in two major Md. counties
October 31, 2010 - 12:38pmWASHINGTON - Save up that money. Your water bill will probably be higher next year.
Both the Prince George's and Montgomery County Councils have approved rate increases.
The Montgomery County Council backed a 9.9 nine percent hike, which would add nearly $6 to your monthly bill.
The Prince George's County Council approved an increase of 8 percent, which would cost you about $5 more a month. That's less than the 12 percent hike the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission wants.
The WSSC commissioners and the two county councils will determine the final rate increase early next year.
